The associates of Better Baked Foods are the company’s most valued resource. It is our policy to take all the necessary and responsible steps to eliminate and reduce exposure to accidental injury and conditions which may adversely affect associates’ health.
We have established a series of workplace safety policies and programs to help prevent and minimize injuries and illness due to hazards. Associate involvement at all levels of the company is critical to the success of these prevention efforts. Our safety committees at each facility were established in an effort to bring associates together in a cooperative effort to promote safety and health in the workplace.
We are continually improving our safety performance. We are proud to have achieved over one year without a lost time accident at all three of our facilities. This was only achieved through everyone’s efforts by being active in, accountable for and ensuring workplace safety.
